If you’re up for some backpacking feels to explore the streets near the famous Sultan Mosque, here’s some places you can check out!
Side note, remember to wear something comfortable and hydrate as you walk down the street!
First up, brunch @ &why…
An aesthetically pleasing looking cafe with a New York Deli concept serves all types of food from brunch to a hearty meal of meat to thirst quenching mocktails.
The interior of the cafe is vintage and gives off The Great Gatsby vibes. With grey bricked walls, dark-wood furnishings, black-rimmed antique lamps, vintage collectibles, and classic Jazz and Blues background music, it will surely make you feel like you’re in another country and in a different era.
Some of their specialties include their Salted Egg Calamari, Oriental Crabmeat Pasta and an array of brunch options like Buttermilk Pancakes, and Egg Florentine and Smoked Salmon Benedict. They also offer desserts like Apple Cobble, and Deep Skillet Cookie if your tummy has a little more space to squeeze!
They are opened from 11am to 11pm daily, except for Wednesdays. Be sure to reserve a spot to avoid disappointment before making your way down there!

Next, an afternoon with a bunch of fluffy creatures: Meomi Cat Cafe
After filling up your stomach with a hearty meal at &why… cafe, head over to Meomi Cat Cafe to spend your afternoon with some feline creatures.
Located along the same street, you’ll be able to interact with more than seven fluffy creatures. The cats are free to roam around the spacious and clean room.
Upon reaching the place, you’d need to remove your footwear and clean your hands with the sanitiser provided. The owner of the cafe will then take you through the place and introduce you to each resident cat and give you an insight of each personality. The cats are of different breeds like maine coon, munchkin and ragamuffin.
Each entry is at $13 for adult and $7 for children. The ticket also includes a drink for you to enjoy. Each session is for an hour, and you can call 6296 0339 to make a reservation..
