1. The Soup Kitchen at Willing Hearts
The Soup Kitchen is part of Willing Hearts initiative to provide meals to the elderly, the disabled, low-income families, children from single-parent families or otherwise poverty-stricken families, and migrant workers in Singapore. For 365 days a year, they prepare, cook and distribute about 6,000 daily meals to over 40 locations islandwide. 2. MINDS
At Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), their goal is to promoting inclusion of persons with intellectual disability into our society today. MINDS offers a wide range of services and programs to help people with intellectual disability, which includes teaching them skills which allows them to be independent in their living life and develop skills to raise their employability. With programs and activities going all week long, you can definitely find an area which you are able to contribute in.

3. Children’s Aid Society

4. Singapore Prison Service
At SPS, they aim to help inmates in terms of rehabilitation and re-integration to society. Volunteers are needed in the areas such as befriending an offender, sharing their expertise and knowledge to through programme and activities. For those who may feel a bit wary, do not worry as all inmates participating in the volunteering programme have been assessed. The best reward in this is to witness the positive transformation in some of the inmates. Do note that to volunteer in SPS, you will need to make an application which may take up to 3 months for approval.

5. Lions Home
Lions Home for the Elders offers a spectrum of Aged Care services, caregiver and family support to assist families to meet the challenges of loved ones growing old. Under its wings are 2 nursing home which has 384 residents till date. Our advice here is to come with a group of people so that you can plan a small scale activity to engage the elderly.
