If you start your day with a cup of coffee for survival, you’d be thrilled to know that there is a new café with a twist in town! With a revolutionary retail concept, RATIO café was launched on 2 November 2020 in The Centrepoint, Singapore.
Innovating with technology, the café offers a unique experience with robotic arms as baristas that serves your coffee to the right proportion. Incorporating individuality and one’s personal preferences, the café also provides an option for customers to decide the ratio of ingredients in your drink. This can easily be used through the app that RATIO has launched to ease customers’ ordering.
The idea behind incorporating robots instead of human touch to the service is to reduce manpower, ensure accuracy in the drinks and speed up the preparation time. With the robots in place of human labour, the café is also able to reduce the selling price. Hence, the cost of a cup of coffee starts at S$1.
Conveniently located in the heart of Orchard Road, they also offer a variety of cocktails and mocktails. You can even be your own bartender and mix your own spirits, liqueurs and mixers. Apart from drinks, there are also a wide range of food offered in this café. From hearty meals such as Pesto Chicken Farfalle Salad, to desserts like Crème Brulee Cheesecake can be found here. The prices for these refreshments start at S$2.50.
In addition to that, if you’re looking for a conducive working space, purchasing a non-alcoholic drink will give you the chance to head into JustCo, a co-working space that is located beside the café.
Ever since the opening, the café has been very well received and the next outlet will be launched in November at Seletar Aerospace Park.
