Fans of the famous Menbaka Fire Ramen from Kyoto, it’s time to rejoice! Menbaka Fire Ramen is opening its first outlet outside of Kyoto, Japan in Singapore at Cineleisure.
For those who are unfamiliar with Menbaka Fire Ramen, perhaps you’ve come across videos of ramen being set on fire in front of the customers. The chef typically ignites the negi (onion) oil, which creates a huge fire before pouring the ramen broth. This will result in their unique rich and smokey flavoured broth.
Some of their famous dishes on the menu includes;
Tonkotsu Fire Ramen (S$18.90) which is Singaporean’s favourite pork broth soup.
The most famous ramen in store, Shoyu Fire Ramen (S$17.90).
For the vegetarians, fret not! There is also the Vegetarian Fire Ramen(S$16.90) available.
If you’re wondering about the potential hazard due to the fire, your hands will have to be placed at the back as part of their safety measures. According to the restaurant, customers are also not allowed to share the ramen with others(Reasons unknown). As of today, the restaurant has been completely safe!
