When was the last time you read a book, or even a book by a Singaporean author?
The Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookshop is a partnership with local coffee chain Huggs Coffee.
This is not your typical cafe with just coffee, food and a nice ambience. This cafe has local-style coffee, with books by Epigram and also 90% of books written by Singaporean authors! More than 400 titles will be stocked at any one time. You might even be able to bring a book home. They also serve pastries, wraps, cakes as well as lunch sets!
Their slogan ‘Hold Singapore in Your Hands’, notions for us to pick up a local book with a local style cup of coffee made by them.
Another unique feature of the coffee bookshop is that one table will be allocated to an author or artist during opening hours. The author/artist can use the space to write or draw, share a drink with customers, or simply use it to gain inspiration. Visitors to the coffee bookshop can also get their books signed by these content creators.
Do pop by if you’re interested in reading something from our local authors or even just to grab a cup of coffee and chill at the cafe. It is definitely a very insta-worthy place as well.
