How time flies! It’s almost the season of giving again and I don’t know about you, but I really miss experiencing Christmas in a foreign country. Due to the pandemic, Singaporeans are not encouraged to travel just yet. So here are some options for you to still immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit while staying safe!
1. Snow City Singapore
If you love cold weather and travelling to winter countries, how about checking out our own Snow City Singapore? In a tropical country like Singapore, it’s probably the only spot that you’d get to experience a white Christmas.
Snow City Singapore has scheduled a snow blizzard with heavy snow and strong winds, at 11am and 5pm each day! Although they provide visitors with jackets and gloves, with sub-zero temperatures, be sure to dress appropriately to not freeze yourself! You’d get to enjoy a slide down the 60m-long snow slope or even go on bumper cars to drift on ice!
Opening Hours: Tues – Fri, 10am-5pm | Sat – Sun, 10am-6pm
Address: 21 Jurong Town Hall Rd, Singapore 609433

2. Christmas Wonderland
You might already be familiar with the annual Christmas Wonderland held at Gardens by the Bay. However, this year is a little different! Due to the safe distancing measures, the organizers have integrated the event into an online and offline experience.
If you’re not a fan of the crowd and would like to experience Christmas from the comfort of your own home, there are interactive content like a Zoom call with Santa, games and festive performances offered. There’s also a platform for you to do your last-minute shopping within the online experience.
If you’d like to physically experience the annual Christmas Wonderland, there will be the 370-metre long Walk of Lights at Gardens by the Bay. Be sure to purchase your tickets from here, as they are limiting the number of pax at one time.

3. Changi Festive Village
Experience a getaway experience with Changi while still staying safe with your family and friends in Singapore. Changi has organized a Festive Village where visitors get to slide down a 12m long snow luge. To spread the Christmas joy, there will be a majestic 16m tall Christmas tree at Jewel’s Shiseido Forest Valley. Along with that, there will be dinosaur exhibits and a Tokidoki-themed snow house. You can also make your way to Jewel’s lush indoor garden or Canopy Park to enjoy the hourly snowfall.
